Article Snippet: Mouse α-Klotho (klotho) (R&D, 1819-KL) was diluted in PBS (pH 7.5) and injected subcutaneously (s.c.) at a volume of 10 μl g−1 (adjusted to weight of mouse) at a dose of 10 μg kg−1 4 h before samples were collected for plasma proteomic analysis, mPF4 ELISA and platelet activation assays. mPF4 (PROSPEC, CHM-245) and hPF4 (PROSEPC, CHM-234 and Genscript, Z03026) were diluted in PBS (pH 7.5) and administered i.p. at a volume of 20 μl g−1 (adjusted to weight of mouse) 1 h before each day of training and testing at a dose of 20 μg kg−1.
